Care Support Bursary

Care Support Bursary

Members can apply for this bursary if they have caring responsibilities that would otherwise stop them from attending a Society meeting.

Vane Medal

Vane Medal

This prize rewards outstanding achievement and leadership in non-clinical pharmacology. Winners receive a medal and £2,000 and have the opportunity to give a lecture at a Society meeting.

Zaimis Prize for Sustained Achievement & Leadership in Pharmacology Teaching

Zaimis Prize for Sustained Achievement & Leadership in Pharmacology Teaching

This prize recognises sustained achievement and leadership in pharmacology teaching. Winners will receive £2,000.

Sir Henry Wellcome Gold Medal

Sir Henry Wellcome Gold Medal

This award recognises outstanding achievement and leadership in pharmacology and therapeutics. The winner will receive a medal and £2,000.

Dunlop Prize

Dunlop Prize

This prize supports the professional development of early career, clinical members. Recipients are offered the opportunity to give a lecture and awarded up to £5,000 in travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses to support a 3-week research visit to Australasia.

Schachter Award

Schachter Award

Provides postgraduate students with an opportunity to visit an international laboratory to learn a new technique.

Geoffrey Burnstock Prize

Geoffrey Burnstock Prize

This prize recognises the achievements of established researchers. Winners will receive £1,000 and be offered the opportunity to give a lecture at a Society meeting.

Vacation Studentship

Vacation Studentship

This studentship encourages undergraduates to take pharmacology as a specialism. Winners will receive up to £1,850 for up to ten weeks (£185 per week) to help cover living costs during a research project.

Bülbring Award

Bülbring Award

This award supports members returning to work following a career break. Winners will receive up to £10,000. The award can be used to fund a short-term independent research project or a visit to another laboratory to learn a new technique.

Pickford Award

Pickford Award

This award provides career-enhancing opportunities for early career members. Winners will receive up to £10,000 to fund a short-term project or visit to a laboratory to learn a new technique.

Rang Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching

Rang Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching

This annual prize recognises outstanding achievement in the teaching of both clinical and non-clinical pharmacology. There are up to two awards available. Winners will receive £1,000.

Vogt Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Postgraduate Studies

Vogt Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Postgraduate Studies

This prize rewards outstanding achievement in postgraduate studies. Winners will receive up to £500.

Public Engagement Award

Public Engagement Award

This award aims to recognise high-quality public engagement, both of pharmacology research and inspiring the public about pharmacology generally. And raise awareness within the pharmacology community of the importance of demonstrating pharmacology across a diverse range of public audiences.
